What is this casting + scouting project?

Basically, we are creating a directory of faces we have scouted. The intention is to create a Directory of these people and refer to them when trying to find the next talent for our projects.

After being scouted, we send you a form to fill out containing your measurements and contact details. Then we organise a quick session to get your headshots taken. All of these details get compiled into a document and put into the Directory.

You get complete access and freedom to the contents of this Profile as well. We might also refer the Directory to other creatives looking to cast – with your permission of course.

Why are you doing this?

The team strongly believes in street-casting normal, everyday people and getting them involved in our projects. As young creatives, we personally have felt the slow-paced modelling scene here in Boorloo (Perth) with not much of an epicentre for creatives like us to cast their talent.

But, if we create a network of individuals, interested young and creative faces get some experience, and the team gets some crisp, clean images of new faces, ready to be booked for our next project.

We hope that one day, we can become the epicentre for creatives looking for new faces,. And through that, new faces get creative work. Bridging the gap basically.

Are you a modelling scout/agency and can you train models?

No, we are not scouting agents nor are we a modelling agency. Just people loving the way other people look.

We are not professionals or heavily involved in the modelling industry either, and we are not qualified to train models or show you the ins and outs of the industry. We are just a young team of photographers, stylists, and hair makeup artists looking to solve the personal struggle of finding new faces for our projects.

Do you represent us?

No. Unfortunately, we do not represent you or act as an agent on your behalf. The extent of this project only reaches to the creation of your Profile.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. This project exclusively works towards getting your Profile created only.

What is this ‘Session’ you keep referring to?

The ‘session’ referred to is just a simple meet and greet at our studio to get your headshots taken and take any other necessary measurements.

Where is the Studio?

We are residents at First Floor Studios located in central Mount Lawley, on Walcott St.

Why do I have to take my own headshot if you’re taking one later anyways?

To simply put it, it’s just to put a face to your name!

I’ve submitted a form. What happens next?

Once you’ve submitted a form, we will review and reformat it into a Folder consisting of documents (.docx, .pdf, .jpeg)–– we refer to this as your “Profile”. We will then reach out to you to organise a Session at our studio where we take better images for your profile. These shots will include:

• your new headshot

• side profile

• mid shot

• full length shot

• casual posed shots

The shoot is at it’s most simplest with no professional cameras involved– just a phone! With a casual plain shirt and jeans, minimal hair product and makeup, you’ll be finished within the hour.

After, we’ll begin compiling your Profile and send it back as soon as we can, The document contains; your measurements, necessary contact details, and your new images compiled in a Word Document, with a PDF Version and a JPEG Version.

After our session, what happens to my Profile?

You are able to use them for anything you’d like – you can even use them to submit to agencies! We just hope you credit us when given the opportunity.

For us, it will be a little different. We will hold onto your Profile and add it to our catalogue of people. Whenever we have an upcoming project, we’ll be reviewing our entire catalogue and seeing who could be a good fit. As every project requirement is different, we can’t guarantee everyone in the catalogue will get booked by us. But do not be surprised when a year from shooting your profile, that’s when we reach back out!

You are also allowed to let us know you’d like to withdraw from the directory–– it will be archived and not put into use.
